And now a bit about the Project Coordinator role

As a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the Manager - Capital Projects to help deliver projects efficiently. The role will see you managing all aspects of a wide range of projects, managing administration tasks and coordinating consultants & contractors on the delivery of multiple building upgrade projects from inception to completion.

You will be expected to communicate with contractors, assist with tenders, coordinate meetings and resolve any problems which may arise.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop concise project work scopes and budgets to gain funding approvals
  • Coordinate and direct personnel and resources to carry out project plans
  • Effectively plan and deliver projects and initiatives in line with the scope, cost, benefit and timeline expectations, using best practise methodologies
  • Ensure that project planning, execution and control stages are properly integrated
  • Ensure appropriate project reporting processes are developed, maintained and implemented
  • Manage project risks, compliance, impacts, budgets, conflicting priorities, expectations and shared resources
  • Manage projects in accordance to Building Code compliance and the OH&S Act.

Required skills:

  • Relevant Project Management experience in the delivery of building, contracting, administration, fit out, refurbishment, essential service installations, upgrades and maintenance
  • Strong organisational skills and a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a Team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and a strong motivation to deliver
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong client focus
  • Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in OH&S and risk management
  • Current Working with Children Check
