And now a bit about the HR Advisor role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and self-driven individual to join our HR team as the Senior HR Advisor

Reporting into the HR Manager, you will work collaboratively with the HR team on diverse HR project  as well as partnering with the management team on all people related initiatives and issues .

This is no ordinary role, and we are not looking for an ordinary candidate. We are a small HR team, so it also requires someone who is equally as comfortable rolling your sleeves up and getting involved in the day to day HR operations. Ideally you will have come from a similar industry, but we are open to looking at exceptional people with transferable skills.

As a strong people person, who is not afraid of driving cultural change and having courageous conversations with staff, you will also be able to think outside the box and help to drive cultural programs and initiatives throughout the business. Your customer service focus will be second to none, and you will thrive in an environment that is both fast paced and challenging. Your areas of responsibility include:

  • Assist with identifying, planning and implementation of HR initiatives and projects
  • Provide advice, support and assistance for managers and staff on employee relations matters
  • Providing advice on award and EBA interpretation
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on dispute, grievance, disciplinary and performance matters and investigate when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR team (team of 5) to coordinate and manage projects associated with Human Resources
  • HR administration and reporting
  • Provide HR policy and procedural support and advice
  • be the first line of support for all HR queries and administration.

Ideally you will hold tertiary qualifications in Business / Commerce / HR (or similar). As mentioned above, you need to have strong leadership and people management skills, to be as comfortable in the day to day operations, as you are working on recruitment and HR projects. Your entrepreneurial flair and an ability to think outside the box, as well as being confident to build relationships, networks and manage stakeholders are essential. You will need to be adept at working on multiple projects, and understand how to manage a busy workload whilst remaining calm, professional and solutions focused. 

This is a Part Time role of 20-25 hours per week but we are open to options on how these hours are worked e.g 3 full days, 5 hours per day (9:30am- 2:30pm) 5 days a week, all options are available for consideration. You will also have access to our facilities including full access to the gym and the pools, and will have free carparking.
